Permanent Wave Machine manufactured by "Helene Curtis." Primarily used by women, their hair was would around curlers which were then heated by the machine to create a perm. They clip type heaters (curlers) were suspended with cords and could be raised and lowered. Each sub-unit plugs in to the main unit and there is a temperature dial and on-off switches on the side.
