A ceramic shaving scuttle decorated with two painted birds.  A shaving scuttle is used with the shaving brush to make hot lather for shaving.  It has two sections: the top compartment holds a puck of shaving soap and the bottom reservoir holds hot water.  The top compartment has drainage holes to keep the soap from flooding.
