Huron County Council Minutes of Special Session

Minutes from a Special Session of County Council regarding the Greater Food Production Movement to supply the front and other Allied countries with food. Councillors discussed the labor shortage and the possibility of getting more tractor engines from the Government. As a prominent agricultural community, one of Huron County’s main contributions to the war effort was providing food overseas to soldiers and to the citizens of England, France, and Belgium. Huron County contributed flour, grains, flax, and even maple sugar.
