Huron County

Jack and his wife Lillian moved to Huron County after the expropriation of their five-acre property in North Toronto. Originally they considered relocating to Bayfield, but eventually purchased and built a new home on the property they called Springwood in Benmiller, Huron County, Ontario, in 1963. Jack continued his artistic endevours and became a popular artist in the region and became an active member of the artistic community in both visual and theatrical arts. He was active in the Huron County Historical Society and after being elected president in 1968, McLaren designed their logo.
